Liverpool Depot Sold

11th June 2009

Matthews & Goodman's North West Agency Team has sold the freehold of a former depot on Upper Parliament Street in Liverpool. The 18,816 sq ft unit was put on the market in February 2009 with an asking price of £650,000.

Robin Evans of Matthews & Goodman, Liverpool, who sold the unit, commented:

"Given the prominent location of the unit we were always confident that it would attract a good level of interest but the number of enquires, viewings and offers received from both occupiers and investor/developers alike surpassed even our high expectations. We are delighted to have been able to secure a purchaser in such a short period of time especially given the current economic climate and the stricter bank lending policies that are now in place."

The purchasers, North West Tea Services Ltd and DJT Maintenance, will occupy part of the unit and sub-divide the remainder to provide a number of smaller units ranging in size from 400 sq ft to 1,600 sq ft. They will call their scheme "Parliament Business Centre" and the units will be available to let on flexible lease terms.
