Largest Letting in the North West

Liverpool

Law firm Weightmans have recently restructured their space in Liverpool and taken 96,000 sq ft in Bruntwood's The Plaza, on a new 15-year lease.  It is the largest letting in the North West this year so far.

Matthews & Goodman advised Weightmans throughout negotiations as they considered their options. 

Matthews & Goodman's David Colvin led the acquisition project.  In his words, "A variety of properties were judged by the usual criteria of suitability, cost and location, and The Plaza came out as clear favourite."

During the final stages of negotiations, Weightmans merger with Mace and Jones was struck and this necessitated additional floorspace as staff numbers rose to over 1,000. 

Matthews & Goodman continue to advise Weightmans on various aspects of the move, including the exit strategy from their space at India Buildings and the fitting out of space in The Plaza.
