Hilson Moran, Farnborough
When our clients Hilson Moran acquired new premises in
Farnborough our Rating Department was asked to look into the
current rating assessment.
We found that the ground floor acquired was assessed together with
the first floor. The ground floor was valued at Rateable Value
£392,000 which we considered to be excessive.
Once possession was given we approached the Valuation Office to
request that the Rating List be amended. A separate assessment at
Rateable Value £287,500 was obtained prior to our clients taking
occupation.
Our clients therefore started their occupation at the correct level
of assessment with a benefit to their cash flow.
