Graduate Quartet Celebrates APC Passes
Four members of Matthews & Goodman’s graduate training programme have passed the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) to become MRICS qualified chartered surveyors.
Emily Deavall (Manchester), Gabriel Davies (Liverpool), Michael Lane (London) and Stuart Rushworth (London), proved their competence, professionalism and skills across technical & professional practice, interpersonal, and business & management categories.
Their successes mean Matthews & Goodman has achieved a 100% APC pass rate so far this year.
Commenting on the firm’s graduate training programme, Stuart Rushworth said, “The firm’s philosophy of involvement from day one meant that I learned a lot very quickly, giving me the valuable experience I needed when it came to the APC.”
Gabriel Davies added, “From the outset I was given the responsibility of conducting viewings and negotiating Heads of Terms with potential occupiers. This allowed me to apply what I’d learnt at university to real life scenarios. The support from colleagues throughout the entire APC process was fantastic - despite the high level of responsibility there is always someone supporting you and on hand if you need them.”
Freya Morrow, graduate programme lead at M&G said, “Passing the APC is a fantastic achievement for any surveyor and the culmination of over two years’ hard work and training. I am especially proud of our recently qualified graduates, who have had to navigate their APC under very unusual and often difficult circumstances. The results are testament to their commitment, hard-working attitude and collaborative support of one another. I wish them all the very best as they start the next stage of their careers as Chartered Surveyors.”
