Matthews & Goodman Advises on the Sale of Grade II Listed Former Bank

A Grade II Listed former bank at 10 Mosley Street in Manchester City Centre has sold off-market to a private purchaser, close to the asking price of £3.0 million.

David Laws and Dominic Evans from Matthews & Goodman acted on behalf of Rannerlow Limited on the sale of the 7,000 sq ft property, which is fully let to BetFred Bookmakers.

The Matthews & Goodman team initially commenced with a Market Assessment, engaging a firm of architects to explore alternative uses and a remodelling exercise, with the aim of extracting higher values from the property’s upper floors.

When the client’s objectives changed and they opted to sell instead, Matthews & Goodman were tasked with seeking potential buyers in an off-market setting.

James Bateson, Managing Director at Rannerlow Limited said “We received an exceptional service, starting with a very positive professional negotiation with potential buyers and quickly secured a sale which exceeded our expectations. We were guided with great experience and expertise throughout and are delighted with the result.”

The purchaser was advised by Zaman Roberts.
