The men in Matthews & Goodman’s City office have been cultivating some impressive upper lip furniture this month, in the name of charity.

Alex Barbour, Charlie Wood, Ed Moore, Harry Whitaker and Nigel Watson formed a “Movember for Macmillan” team, ditching their razors in favour of some sponsored moustache growing.

The team raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Care, Matthews & Goodman’s corporate charity for 2017-19. The charity was selected by staff following an internal nomination and voting process, with a fundraising target of £10k per year pledged as part of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.

The team suffered taunts from colleagues, strange looks on the tube and complaints from wives to smash their £1500 target, raising an impressive total of £2,319.65.

Matthews & Goodman are celebrating a successful first quarter of charitable giving, having raised a total of £4657.00, which would pay for a Macmillan nurse for a full week.
