CNM Estates Appoints Matthews & Goodman on Major London Mixed-Use Development
CNM Estates, the property investment and development company, has appointed Matthews & Goodman’s Property Management team on Sutton Point, a new south London based complex comprising an hotel, residential, retail and office spaces.
Matthews & Goodman’s commercial and residential property specialists will be responsible for managing an estate comprising:
- 21,000 sq ft of retail space
- 18,000 sq ft office space
- 332 one and two-bed apartments
- A 200-car basement car park
- A 150-bed hotel
- 8 penthouse suites
Led by Matthews & Goodman Partner Jeremy Dowding, the team will be responsible for managing the development, as well as Service Charge and rent collection management.
The new development (completed in January 2019) is an intrinsic part of a major local community regeneration programme in Sutton. Its social housing accommodation (36 apartments are owned by Thames Valley Housing Association) is part of the town’s integrated Master Plan which focuses on local social, economic and environmental issues. Sutton’s excellent transport links (30 minutes to central London by train and 28 minutes to Gatwick Airport and 40 minutes to Heathrow Airport by car) adds to the attraction of this high-spec development.
Commenting on the appointment, CNM Estates’ Development Manager Matthew Westwood said “Being one of our latest prestigious developments, it was critical we appoint a firm with a proven reputation for ensuring occupiers requirements are met, our reputation is protected and our business goals are realised.
“Having worked with Matthews & Goodman before, I know they will more than meet our brief.”
“Sutton Point is an exciting new development which has everything” said Nigel Watson, Partner, Matthews and Goodman.
“From a hotel and prestigious penthouse suites, to social housing; from versatile retail space to contemporary offices; this is the type of multi-use developments the team and I relish working on.
“For us, our task is very clear: ensure that the occupiers enjoy living and working at Sutton Point and, its owners benefit from an efficiently run asset, filled with happy occupiers.”
