Waterman Group Relocates to Manchester’s Trinity
Matthews & Goodman has advised leading engineering and environmental consultancy firm Waterman Group Plc on the relocation of its Manchester office.
Waterman Group, which provides sustainable solutions to the property, infrastructure, energy and environmental markets, has taken 4,068 sq ft of workspace on a 10-year lease, at a rent of £34 per sq ft, at Helical’s city centre office scheme, Trinity.
The new office space at Trinity will add to Waterman Group’s existing office portfolio, which includes its headquarters in London alongside a regional office network.
Trinity, located on John Dalton Street, provides first class workspace in the heart of Manchester, with excellent access to Spinningfields and the wider city centre transport network. The building was substantially refurbished in 2019 and now offers a total of 58,678 sq ft of prime office and retail accommodation.
William Parry, senior property executive at Helical, comments: “Waterman Group Plc is a perfect fit for Trinity. The company aligns well with current occupiers at Trinity including AEW Architects, Kennedys Solicitors and Saffery Champness. Trinity is becoming a hub of activity as central Manchester comes back to life this Spring.”
David Laws, Partner at Matthews & Goodman who acted for Waterman Group comments: "The relocation is a great illustration of occupiers re-evaluating their occupational needs, post pandemic, with a desire for less space but in a better quality environment. Trinity is a great solution that provides Waterman with an efficient and flexible workplace within a first class, high spec environment."
Helical was represented jointly by Savills and Edwards & Co.
